The 5 bell tents in the Orchard Camp at Village Farm, East Portlemouth are designed to be mid-way between glamping and camping. What this means is that you get a beautiful tent with a super comfy mattress but with all the rustic charm of camping. We only have 5 tents so the site is never busy and there is a huge ex-military ‘Mess Tent’ where you can cook, relax, read and generally spend time. The camp has plenty of hay bales for seating as well as trestle tables you are welcome to use.

The views from the camp are second to none. The camp is a 15-minute walk from the Salcombe beaches and the ferry to Salcombe. Also, on the farm we have a fantastic café and shop which sells wonderful organic food and general supplies (villagefarmdevon.com)

We will provide duvets and pillows for adults and roll away mattresses for children. It is really important to note that you need to bring your own linen (sheets, duvet cover and pillow covers and sleeping bags for children). We don’t have the facilities to do laundry so this is super important.

Each tent has its own fire pit and tripod with a grill, you can buy logs from us if you would like some. You can drop off luggage at the camp and then we ask you to please park your car in the Café Car Park. Our washing up and shower water is from the farm borehole (unfiltered) and we have a mains water stand pipe just next to the camp for drinking water. There is a rustic gas shower and a compost loo.

We provide a selection of plates, cutlery, mugs, saucepans, and other serving / cooking utensils. If there is something specific you want / need then it may be best to bring it with you. Please bring a cool box as there is no fridge. We can give you some ice / ice blocks from the café.

Each tent is supplied with a couple of head torches, a tea light chandelier as well as a walking map of the locality. The South West Coastal path and Gara Rock are very close by.

One well behaved dog per tent is welcome.
