Hello! We have so many exciting events, workshops and festive specials coming up that this blog post is a bit more a calendar of what’s to come!
Our first year and a half has come and gone and our team and our barn of artisans, crafters, retailers and practitioners has grown! We have seen many a menu change with seasonal availability and culinary creativity. We’ve had many events and many more planned. We hope to hold space for music, talks, workshops, screenings and of course FOOD! Our last feasting night will be a festive extravaganza in December, please find details below.
Roasts at the Farm

Roasts at the Farm
We are now cooking up a storm every Sunday with a roast.
The meat is from the farm and the option changes each week with a nut roast option. The veggies are all local or organically sourced and come on sharing platters for your table.
Bookings are very much encouraged as we try and cook to order so give us a call to find out this week’s roast and get booked in!
Call us on 01548 843532 or hello@villagefarmdevon.com to book.
Fundraiser at the Farm!
We had the pleasure of being the venue for a fundraiser on 6th November. It brought so many people together to raise funds for 3 brilliant causes. Raising around £3000, this money will go towards; Keep me close, A charity that provides accommodation in hospitals for parents whose babies are in intensive care so they can be by their sides. The hands up project, an initiative helping to teach Palestinian children learn English and connect them with people around the world to share their stories and experiences. And Sam, a local young man who had a stroke in his spine and was left paralysed and is rehabilitating with the help of an incredible medical team and his family.

There was great music from a saxophonist and Flossie. A hearty meal of chilli form Village Farm’s Red Ruby beef and a raffle with such generous and lovely prizes donated from local establishments and people.
It was heart warming to see people come together for charities that are close and personal to others within the community.
Six Inches of Soil screening and Q+A – Thurs 27th November

Our own Tom’O’Connor who is Green Man Growing has his own market garden business on the farm, he is hosting a screening and Q+A of ‘Six inches of soil – The inspiring story of British farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food – to heal the soil, benefit our health and provide for local communities.’
The screening is not only to showcase this amazing and thought provoking documentary film but also to help Tom raise funds for some vital bit of equipment needed for the growing season ahead. It’s been amazing to have his produce come through our kitchen and into our meals when it’s grown a mere couple of hundred yards away.
If you can’t make it to the event you can always donate to his cause here.
